Bringing Community Together Through Charity: Donate and Shred Event at RBAZ-Gilbert Branch
03/26/24
In the heart of the Oasis at The Islands Professional Plaza, the spirit of community thrives. On Saturday, March 16th, Republic Bank of Arizona (RBAZ) – Gilbert Branch at 1417 E Elliot Road hosted an event that not only promoted security but also strengthened the bonds of communal support. The event, aptly named “Donate and Shred,” invited residents to participate in a charitable act while ensuring the protection of their sensitive documents.
The concept was simple yet impactful: donate either five cans of food or $5 and in return, have a banker box full of documents securely shredded. The proceeds generated from this event directly benefited the Superstition Community Food Bank, a local organization dedicated to feeding families and qualified individuals in the East Valley with dignity and respect.
Partnering with Universal Paper Shredding, a trusted name in document destruction, Republic Bank of Arizona hosted an event that not only addressed the necessity of safeguarding personal information but also embraced the essence of community support and philanthropy.
Although Republic Bank of Arizona – Gilbert Branch has only been in The Islands for just over a year, Republic Bank of Arizona has been a local community business bank since 2007 with other branches in Phoenix and Scottsdale. We hope you had an opportunity to meet Karen Hanson, RBAZ Vice-President and Gilbert Branch Manager. She raised her three kids in this neighborhood and has been in Gilbert for over 25 years. She is a veteran banker committed to the Gilbert and East Valley business community. She takes the time to get to know you, your business, and delivers banking solutions to meet your needs. RBAZ – MEMBER FDIC | EQUAL OPPORTUNITY LENDER.
Republic Bank of Arizona wants to thank all of you that came by to donate, shred, and met Karen. By combining the practical need for document shredding with the opportunity to support a local food bank, we fostered a stronger sense of community and effected positive change within the community.
